City and places of artistic, historical and cultural interest, easily achievable from “Il Carrettino”(one hour by car).
The city of Torino:
- “Mole Antonelliana” is the symbol of the city of Turin, it takes the name from the architect that built it, Alessandro Antonelli and it’s tallest the masonry building in taller in the world
- “Piazza Castello” with “Palazzo Madama” and its civic museum of ancient art;
- ”Palazzo Reale” that was palace of the Savoy and its gardens realized in 600 with French taste.
- “Parco del Valentino” and the homonym castle with an ample rectangular courtyard and the medieval suburb.
- “Egyptian museum” that preserves one of the most important collections of the world, second only to that of the Cairo.
- “Reggia di Venaria Reale” one of the greatest Savoy Residences in Piedmont.
- “Basilica di Superga” that rises on the homonym hill it is an eighteenth-century monumental complex in Baroque style. From its dome you can enjoy an unique panorama on Turin.
The city of Milan:
- “Piazza del Duomo” that constitutes the centre of the city and that it hosts the magnificent Duomo, the monument symbol of the city, that is one of most famous and complex Italian Gothic constructions.
- “Teatro della scala” is one of the most famous theaters in the world, temple of the lyric it is situated in one of the more frequented and elegant square of the city.
- “Galleria Vittorio Emanuele” connects the Duomo to “Teatro della Scala”, it is one of the places of the luxury shopping.
- “Castello Sfarzesco” with the “Torre del Filerete” is one of the most beautiful and suggestive places in Milan and hosts civic Museums of exceptional value.
One of the best periods to visit “Lago Maggiore” is the spring, season that allows to sail among the numerous islands of the archipelago and to walk between the elegant streets of Verbania and Stresa.
The heart of the city of Genoa is without doubt the ancient port that thanks to careful restaurations and to projects of recovery and exploitation has well known for having combined ancient and modern.
In the zone of port there are the aquarium, the children's city, “Galata”, the greatest maritime museum of the Mediterranean.
Don’t miss a walk among the characteristic alleys of the historical center, a tangle of lanes that go direct toward the sea.
To visit the enchanting places of the coast, for example Portofino, Camogli, Santa Margherita Ligure.
The occasion cannot be lost to admire the suggestive medieval suburbs of the “piacentino” as “CASTELL'ARQUATO” and “Grazzano Visconti”, where in some periods of the year you can enjoy traditional custom events.
