Tortona
Tortona is a town located in the southeastern Piedmont, 20 km east of Alessandria, not far from the border of Oltrepò pavese and the town of Voghera. Is located on the left bank of the Scrivia. Thanks to its location at the heart of Milan-Turin-Genoa triangle,the town is an important rail and highway system. Is served by the A7 (Highway Milan-Genoa) and the A21 (Turin-Piacenza-Brescia).
Elegant town rich in art, it has an interesting urban fabric with a pattern of roads and streets that hide treasures of every age. On this historical and political stage have come and gone figures like Frederick Barbarossa, Ludovico il Moro, Napoleon Bonaparte, always considered a vital strategic location for their crowns.
Despite the succession of different masters, the people retained a unique municipal identity.
