Volpedo
Volpedo is a centre in the province of Alessandria, on the hills at the mouth of the river Curone.
It is famous for having given birth to the painter Giuseppe Pellizza one of the most important Italian painters, known to public especially for being the author of the famous painting "The Fourth Estate."
Pellizza made the choice to live and work in the country where he was born and, as a sign of devotion, added to his signature "from Volpedo”.
Volpedo makes part of the Union of Comunità Collinare Colli Tortonesi (Tortona Hill Community) and has been included in the club of "The Most Beautiful Villages of Italy"
